Force 4.1: Force as a Vector Quantity in Newtons
Force is a vector quantity, as the amount of force needs to be measured, as well as the direction the force is being applied. This quantity can be measured in the appropriate direction, and Newtons, or a kg/m/s/s. The acceleration of an object depends on how much force is being applied to an object. Balanced forces cause objects to move at a constant velocity and have no acceleration, while unbalanced forces cause an acceleration of some kind.
