Force 5.3

Paragraph Summary:  The gravitational force of an object is perpendicular to its mass. Mathematically, the weight of an object is relative to gravitational force as weight is a force. Since force= mass x acceleration, you can substitute weight/gravitational force for the force part of this equation, saying that weight = mass x acceleration. As the weight of an object increases, the mass does and vice versa. The weight is dependent on mass.
